The next step in the process utilises our most important piece of machinery to rinse the rug and remove as much water as possible before drying.
After the full immersian wash the rug will need to be rinsed with fresh water. This is done in our centrifuge machine using a patented water injection system. Without a thorough rinse process the rug will retain emulsified soil and shampoo in its fibres. This will leave a sticky residue which will cause rapid resoiling of the rug once dry.
Once the rug is rinsed the water injection system is turned off and the machines speed is increased until it has removed as much water as possible from the rug. A rug which is left soaking wet for too long can develop a whole range of problems such as distortion, browning, and dye migration to fringes to name a few. We remove so much water before drying that the rug is only slightly damp to the touch.
This system of water removal is a revolution in the rug cleaning industry as it means many of the problems once associated with long drying times are eliminated. We are the only company in the UK to own a centrifuge rinsing machine (Also the largest of its kind in the world at 13ft wide).
